Step aboard the M.S. Bad Romance, a beat-up freighter held together by hope, black-market repairs, and the sheer will of(and triple overtime pay for) its crew. In a galaxy dominated by corporate and cosmic horrors, our show pulls back the curtain on the lives of its crew, led by NPC space trucker Captain Marco Lopez—a weary veteran spending his middle years trying to survive another day to make his ship’s mortgage payment.

The Bad Romance navigates this cosmic/corporate hellscape alongside a crew of unique specialists:

• Dr. Elroy Ivers (Scientist): The ship’s Medical Doctor, whose focus is split between managing crew stress and investigating the sector’s deadliest biological threats.
• Chief Hale Stidham (Teamster): The ship’s engineer, a brilliant mechanic constantly fighting to keep Lopez’s questionable, jury-rigged ship from falling apart.
• Johnny Utah (Android): A repurposed companion android modeled on the likeness and personality of a 20th-century action movie star, Utah’s boundless optimism and enthusiasm often clashes with the grim realities of the galaxy.
• Moonsong Zipperstein (Marine): The dedicated security specialist, whose presence is a constant reminder of the physical dangers lurking on the fringes of civilization.
