Our first campaign using the new 2024 Dungeons & Dragons rules!

Welcome to war-torn Pasca, a country still reeling from a long and brutal war. Resources are scarce, and nowhere is the struggle more apparent than in the rural parish of Aeore. This quiet farming and textile-producing region may not seem like much, but it holds the only overland route to Rusque — a militant merchant kingdom and Pasca’s most vital trade partner.

But trouble is brewing. Pirates stalk the coast, brigands rule the swamps, and with each passing day, the roads grow more dangerous. The security forces of Pasca are stretched too thin to protect the people, and now Rusque has sent in its own private mercenaries – The Nightsong Sentinels – threatening the sovereignty of Pasca itself.

Queen Estrid of Pasca has issued a desperate ultimatum to Aeore’s Parish Governor, John Brunis: eliminate the brigand threat within 20 days, or she will allow Rusque to take full control of security in the region.

And so, a call has gone out for adventurers and mercenaries. The job is simple: protect the people, drive back the brigands, and maintain Pasca’s sovereignty. But the road ahead is never as simple as it seems.

Follow Hootkins the loxodon druid, Claire the human wizard, Emile Ironsocks the dwarf rogue, and Parzival de la Bonaventure the halfling fighter as they travel to the small village of Orlane on the fringes of the Duskhome Swamp to address the bandit problem plaguing the Nightsong Highway.
